I don’t know about you, but I have always wanted a picture-perfect home like the ones you see in a home decor magazine. Well… let’s face it, not all of us have the money to spend on that super cute green dresser, or that rustic coffee table. We have to be happy with what we currently have, right??? Um…WRONG!! So I’m here to share with you all the ways you can spend a little, and get that fancy furniture you have been wanting!
Three years ago, I found my passion… furniture makeovers and DIY home decor! As mother of four, I realize how important it is to be able to save money on certain things so we can have money for other boring things like groceries and bills and stuff. Home decor is usually low on our list of necessities, but it is high on our list of wants!
Roadside Revive is a DIY blog focused on furniture makeovers. I am certainly no expert, but I know what works well for me. I believe in finding ways to save money on supplies, and the furniture I makeover. This allows me to resell my furniture at reasonable prices.
I find a lot of my pieces on the side of the road. I found this coffee table out by someone’s trash.
So, before you throw that ugly, broken dresser out, let me help you give it new life!
Now a little about me.
I was born and raised in Florida! For 36 years, I have enjoyed the weather and beaches, and it wasn’t until recently that I had a chance to see snow for the first time! My husband and I have four kids (we are a blended family), and we have been married 3 years. When we first decided to get married, I was working 50+ hours a week in retail management, and I needed more time for my family. In 2015, with the support of my wonderful husband, I decided to change careers and get my real-estate license. I have been a Realtor in Tampa, Florida for three years now, and I love it. It has given me the opportunity to devote more time to my family, and explore things that I have always wanted to do. I’m creative, and art driven, and I have always been fascinated with furniture makeovers and DIY projects.
My husband is also a big DIY guy. We love to spend time together working on projects. I sell most of my pieces on online marketplaces. After posting before and after pictures on social media, I started to get ‘How to’ questions from my friends. This is how Roadside Revive was created!
